Hello List: I got this info from a cousin and checked the info out at ancestry and IT IS TRUE! They are starting a OneWorldTree service that will cost 40 dollars a year (if you are a subscriber). If you've uploaded your family tree previously when it was a free service, and that tree meets their criteria, it will become a part of their PAID service and you get nothing. Here's what they said: "If for any reason you do not want your tree to be part of the new OneWorldTree service, you must delete it from the Ancestry World Tree database by tentatively May 21, 2004." and here's the link: http://trees.ancestry.com/owt/checklist.aspx So if you don't want your family information to be a part of this OneWorldTree thing, you'll have to delete your file. They started charging me for the My Family sites 109.00 per yr. plus what I was paying for the Ancestry Subscription, Census and newspapers, etc. I could not afford it any longer. Then they deleted my trees from Ancestry and Roots Web. Now what is there, is in-correct. My gg-grandmother has 3 sets of parents.
