LILLIE - age 80, of the Joyner Community, DAILEY, GARY STEVEN - age 53 of Knoxville, TN FOSTER, CARRIE LEE HOLDER - age 87, of Clinton, Tennessee, FOSTER, PATRICIA JANE MCCOY - age 47, of Briceville, Tennessee NEWTON, VELMA MILAM 88, of Oak Ridge, MOORE, DOLLIE S. age 77, of LaFollette, OGLE, CYNTHIA B. - age 90 of Oliver Springs BIBLE, MRS. LILLIE - age 80, of the Joyner Community, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2004 in the Lifecare Center of Morgan County. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Minnie (Roberson) Bowers; husband, James Harrison Bible; granddaughter, Teri Lynn Bible, She is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, James W. and Karen of Spring City, Douglas M. and Patricia of Dover, Tn, Donald W. and Kathy of Wartburg, Coy Lee and Sherri of Knoxville, Roy Dale and Cheri of Wartburg, Roger Allen and Elizabeth of Coalfield; step-daughter, Earlene Singlton Gregory of Harriman; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Francis Bowers; sister, Rosie Colvin. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 19, 2004 from 5-7 pm at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will begin at 7 pm with Bro. David Kunsman officiating. A graveside service will be held on Sunday Afternoon, 3 pm in Anderson Memorial DAILEY, GARY STEVEN - age 53 of Knoxville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2004. A native of Knoxville, he was born November 19, 1950 to parents Joseph Milton Dailey and Jackie Sutton Dailey. Gary was a life time member of Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. Early in his working career he taught school and coached football and basketball at Powell and Oneida schools. Most of his working career was spent at the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge where he had 25 years of service. He served the Karns community for over 30 years in the Karns Lions Club, having been District Governor from 1991-1992. In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Lacey and Anthony Fleming, Lynsey and Kevin Simmons, son Luke Dailey; brother Rick Dailey and wife Monica; uncles Skip Dailey and wife Lou, Harold Sutton and wife Joan of PA; aunt Etta Sutton. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church, 7753 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville, TN with Rev. Walter Weikel officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. followed by the service. Honorary pallbearers Skip Dailey, Don Carmichael, Tony Wright, B J Gallamore, Harry Sullivan, Stan Frazier and members of the Karns Lions Club. She was born July 4, 1916 in Morgan County to William & Mary Jane Laymance who precedes her in death. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Luke Foster; brothers, Bill, Hill, Roscoe, Kenneth, Dennis & Frank Holder; half- brother, Steve Holder; sister, Bess Sexton. Survivors: sister-in-law, Desta Holder of Heiskell, Katie Holder of Clinton; half-sister, Ruby Tudor of Clinton; half-brothers, Jim Holder of Claxton, William, John & Henry Holder of Nashville, Ronnie Barnes of New Market; nieces, Diane, Mary Lou & Judy; nephews, Dennis Jr., Kenneth & Ray.The family will receive friends 11:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. FOSTER, PATRICIA JANE MCCOY - age 47, of Briceville, Tennessee passed away Friday, June 18, 2004 at her residence. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by mother, Rose Mary Hawkins McCoy and nephew, David Fife. Survivors: husband: Benny Ray Foster of Briceville; daughter: Tracy Swanson & husband, Michael, of Maryville; son: Benny Tate Foster & wife, Angela, of Briceville; grandchildren: Samantha Howe & Cody Howe of Maryville. NEWTON, VELMA MILAM 88, of Oak Ridge, died Friday, June 18, 2004 at Briarcliff Health Care Center.She was born July 9, 1915 in Coal City, Alabama, the daughter of Charles Crandle Milam and Leola Veazy Milam. Mrs. Newton was the widow of Samuel Leon Newton, who died February 3, 1996. She and her husband came to Oak Ridge in July 1941, where she worked at various jobs, including selling Avon. She and her husband attended various churches in Oak Ridge and became members of Community Church, which is now Oak Ridge Alliance Church and later, Trinity United Methodist Church. Her favorite past-time was reading. Additionally, she and her husband made plaster figurines that they gladly gave away. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Flora Bice, Lois Bond and Rosella Brazier. She is survived by her two sons, Harold D. Newton and his wife Mary Lois of Knoxville and N. Kenneth Newton and his wife Brenda of Powell; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, June 21, 2004 at 8:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Rev. Dale Crank officiating. Graveside services are Tuesday at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. She was an avid gardener, her specialty being roses. She was also a seamstress. Mrs. Moore attended Bethel High School and was captain of the girl's basketball team. She also was a volunteer Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Drew J. Moore and father, James Singleton. She is survived by her mother, Ethel Milsap of Abingdon, Virginia; children, Marlenia Moore Overholt and husband, Jim of Abingdon, Virginia, Richard Drew Moore and wife, Betty of Harriman, Tennessee, Gary Moore and wife, Tammy of Franklin, Kentucky and Kathy Childs and husband, Rick of LaFollette; grandchildren, Chad Overholt and wife, Rebecca, Travis Logan Overholt and friend, Jennifer, Angie Moore, Derick Moore and wife, Ginger, Shannon Moore, Justin Moore, Morgan Moore, Jonathan Moore, Cindy Childs, and Sarah Childs; great grandchildren, Haley James Overholt, Josh Moore and Alexia Moore; brother, John Singleton of Abingdon, Virginia; best friend, Martha Wells; several nieces and nephews. OGLE, CYNTHIA B. - age 90 of Oliver Springs, passed away June 18, 2004 at Harriman Care & Rehabilitation in Harriman. Mrs. Ogle was a member of Calvary Baptist in Bearden and enjoyed reading and loved all of her grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons, J.B. Ogle and wife, Sarah Ogle, William Edward Ogle and wife, Rossie Ogle; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; special brother in law, Henry Ogle and friend, Freda Mann; three brothers in law, B.C. Ogle and wife, Midred, Gus Ogle and wife, Lucy, Elmer Ogle; very special friend, Alesia Clowers; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward O. Ogle; her parents, William & Abbie Bentley; sisters, Elizabeth Martin and Mabel Cruze; brothers, James Bentley and John Bentley.
