    2. From The Knoxville News Sentinel 219 Jun 2004 JOHNSON, WESLEY MARTIN - age 85, of Oak Ridge, PHILLIPS, R.C. - age 70, JOHNSON, WESLEY MARTIN - age 85, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, June 27, 2004. Veteran of WWII, serving with the US Navy. Retired in 1974 from the Atomic Energy Commission where he was Assistant Manager of Research and Development. Member of New York Avenue Church of Christ. Preceded in death by: his wife, Pauline Peden Johnson; parents, Ira Otis and Sallie Mohon Johnson and brother, I. O. Johnson, Jr. Survived by: his son, Wesley M. Johnson, Jr. and wife Sheryl Reagan Johnson of Kingston; two grandsons, Scott Johnson and wife Jennifer of Fairfax, VA and Steve Johnson and wife Rachel of Roanoke, VA; and five great grandchildren, Reagan, Cameron, MacKenzie, Casey and Andrew. The funeral service is Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 8:00pm at Weatherford Mortuary with Milton Stanley, James Lampley, Gary Galloway and Harold Scott officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Knoxville Christian School, 11549 Snyder Rd., Knoxville, TN 37932. Survivors: son, LeeRoy Phillips & wife Norma of Clinton; daughter, Donna Kay Schwartz & husband Michael of Sufolk, VA, Jennifer Phillips of Clinton; sisters, Daisy Brummett of Oak Ridge, Allene Dixon of Knoxville, Rosalee Bean of Clinton; brothers, Floyd Phillips of Crossville, Larry Phillips of Norris; 4 grandchildren, Michael Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Rebekah Schwartz & Mindy Schwartz. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday in the Chapel with Rev. Paul Cox & Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. The burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
