The annual Johnson Reunion for the descendants of John A.Johnson and Eliza Hensley Johnson will be Saturday June 26 2004 at the Farmers Grove Baptist Church fellowship Hall . The doors will be open at 11:00 a.m. Covered dish lunch will be at noon. There will be fun and games for the kids, pictures and other family memorabilia to enjoy, and singing in the afternoon. Carolyn Johnson is currently in the process of compiling a book of family stories and other items of interest and a cookbook of recipes from family and friends. This a joint effort of the Johnson and Nelson Reunion Groups. John Johnson was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia, 1814, and died in Anderson County , TN. in 1886. He and Eliza were parents of at least eleven children including Rev. John Johnson, twins Napoleon and George, Jerome, Thomas, Mary, William, Martha, Demarcus,Joanna, and possibly Richard. Rev. John Johnson was first pastor of Farmers Grove beginning in 1897. Everyone is invited.
