    3. Kathy: How horrible. I can't imagine anyone showing someone in such bad shape, and I am sure he looked terrible. That must have really been shocking for your granny to see. I too, think he was buried on the KY side of Jellico somewhere, but I have the Whitley Co. Graveyard books and he is not listed. Neither is his father, George, who was the sheriff killed in the line of duty. You would have thought there would have been a lot of sympathy for his widow and ten children, and someone would have marked his grave, but as yet, I have not found them. Bill's mother died 2 years after George was killed, and she was only 48 years old. I don't know what happened to her, or the children. It seems to be a very tragic story all around. I really appreciate all your help. I will look through my files to see if I have any more information. When I talk to granny this week, I will ask her what she remembers. I do remember her saying that they showed him and you could tell he had been electrocuted. She said she had never see anyone" laid out" that looked burnt before. She would have only been 20 years old. > > Kathy > > > > > > > > > Elizabeth Smiddy <smiddy@ccdi.net> wrote: > Dear Kathy: > > After Bill was electrocuted at Eddyville, KY, his body was transported back to Williamsburg. We cannot find out where he is buried. Did your granny mention anything about where they buried him, when she attended his funeral? I am still confused about the ages, although the paper could have very well had his age wrong. Thank you so much for all the information, you are great. > > Elizabeth > > > ==== TNCAMPBE Mailing List ==== > Do not spam or send derogatory comments to any other subscriber to this list. > > > ==== TNCAMPBE Mailing List ==== > Do not spam or send derogatory comments to any other subscriber to this list. > >
