From The Knoxville News Sentinel 22 Jun 2004 BOWENS, JESSIE B.- COOPER, THOMAS HENDERSON age 80, of Clinton, LISENBEE, WILLIAM C. - age 89, of Knoxville, BOWENS, JESSIE B.- departed this life Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center. She was a member of Oak Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by: sister, Wonzie Jones of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Norma Ward, Gordon Ward, Victor ( Jackie) Threat and Gregory (Deanna) Ward; five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Oak Valley Baptist Church, 194 Hampton Rd. in Oak Ridge with the funeral to follow. Rev. Hardil Thomas officiating. Interment at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Arrangements by Unity Mortuary. COOPER, THOMAS HENDERSON age 80, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2004 at Windwood Health Care Center. He was born October 27, 1923 in Campbell County, Tennessee. He was a member of Clinton First Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He retired from the Shipping Department at Link Belt in Indianapolis, Indiana. Preceded in death by: parents, James M. & Mary Emily Johnson Cooper; brother, Travis Cooper & sister, Ada Harmon. Survivors: wife of 54 years, Eula Magill Cooper of Clinton; daughters, Sharon & husband Doug Jewett of Stuart, Florida, Margaret & husband Joe Knack of Bartlett, TN; son, Gary Thomas & wife Karen Cooper of Clinton; sister, Esta Ridenour of LaFollette; brother, James & wife Betty Cooper of Clinton; grandchildren, Melissa & Laura Jewett of Stuart, Florida, Brian, David & Amy Knack of Bartlett, TN, John & Denise Cooper of Houston, TX, Michael "Greg" & Jessica Cooper of Clinton; several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Clinton First Baptist with funeral services following with Rev. Sam Dean & Rev. Terry Baker officiating. The burial will be 11:00 am, Wednesday at Sunset Cemetery. The family has requested memorials be made to Clinton First Baptist Church "Family Life Center." Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. LISENBEE, WILLIAM C. - age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Harlan, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2004. After 34 years of service he retired at age 64 from Union Carbide K25 of Oak Ridge. Also owner-operator of Lisenbee Lighting and Neon Designs and Service. Survived by: wife, Regina; sons & daughters-in-law, Billy Joe & Ann and Glenn & Lillie; daughter & son-in-law, Barbara Ann & Lynn Hickey and Lisa & Jim Pickett; grandchildren, Tuffy, Carrie, Renee, Yvette, Scott, Nathan, Beth, Maggie, Sarah, David, Angela, Chris, Richard, Andrew, Josh, Abby; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, Eula, Laura.
