From The Oak Ridger 25 Jun 2004 George Dee Davis, 79, of Kingston, Margaret Ann Wells Dyke, 52, of Greenback, Viola Vivian Stepp Elliott, George Dee Davis, 79, of Kingston, died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at Baptist Hospital West in Knoxville. He was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a chemical technician. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Knoxville Orient of Tennessee and First Baptist Church of Kingston. One of his many interests was old cars, especially 1965 Mustangs, his family said. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Daisy Baker Davis; his beloved wife, Carrie Lou Davis, who died in April 2002; and by his brother, Charles Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by three daughters, Patty Pullen-Capato and husband, Caremen, of Knoxville, and Gina Rivers and husband, Arthur, and Peggy Wright and husband, Ernie, all of Kingston; seven grandchildren, Warren Pullen, John Pullen, Kari Rivers, Brantley Rivers, Will Rivers, Tre' Wright and Tyler Wright; four great-grandchildren, Blair Pullen, Natalie Pullen, Clair Pullen and Sophie Pullen; a special friend, Rosa Lee Parker; and by a special brother-in-law, Don Jones. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2004, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home in Kingston with the Rev. Dr. Roy Graves and David Lasater officiating. Burial will be at noon Saturday, June 26, at Roane Memorial Gardens in Rockwood. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Margaret Ann Wells Dyke, 52, of Greenback, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at her mother's home in Annapolis, Md. She graduated from Annapolis in 1970 and she was an administrative assistant at the David Taylor Research Center at the Annapolis Naval Station for many years. According to her family, she loved to dance, sing in the church choir, camping and flowers. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Dyke, and by a stepdaughter, Michelle Dyke. Mrs. Dyke is survived by her husband, Ray Dyke; her parents, Sam and Anne Wells, of Annapolis; her son, David Green, of Arnold, Md.; her daughter, Denise Green, of Annapolis; three brothers, Michael Wells and Glenn Wells, both of Annapolis, and Leslie Wells of Glen Burnie, Md.; and by her sister, Debra Kilian, of Arnold. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lewis and Carmey Dyke, Bobby and Lois Dyke, and Jimmy and Karen Dykes, all of Maryville, Blain and Betty Dykes and David Dykes, all of Alcoa, Butch and Denise Dyke of Decatur, Alla Dyke of Tellico Plains, Donald and Kathy Matoy of Englewood, David and Violet Ledger of Knoxville and Bill and Essie Word of Florida; and by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 28, 2004, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home in Maryville with the Rev. Steve Hickman 0fficiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. Viola Vivian Stepp Elliott, affectionately known as "Mamaw Siggie," 97, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at NHC HealthCare of Oak Ridge. Born Oct. 12, 1906, in Elizabethton, she was the daughter of Silas Henry and Bessie Mae Reynolds Stepp. She moved to Oak Ridge in 1945 and was employed with Union Carbide as an engineering librarian retiring in October 1971. She attended Covenant Presbyterian Church. Prior to moving to Oak Ridge, Ms. Elliott taught school in Gap Creek. Her family said she enjoyed gardening, yard work, traveling and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Carroll Elliott, and by a granddaughter, Robin Kay Elliott. Ms. Elliott is survived by a son, Glenn Elliott, of Oak Ridge; her daughter, Carol Reynolds and husband, Bill, of Oak Ridge; and by three sisters, Jewell Elliott of Johnson City, Thelma Hughes of Elizabethton and Bonnie Freeman of Phoenix, Ariz. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Michael Elliott and wife, Jana, Lisa Witt and husband, Bill, Robert Elliott and wife, Martha, Bill Reynolds and wife, Lee Anne, Michelle Owen, and Melanie Braden and husband, Steven; six great-grandchildren, Ben Witt and wife, Sian, Alisha Reynolds, Will Reynolds, Nicole Bradford, Michael Daughtery, Jessica Braden and Jared Braden; three great-great-grandchildren, Jordan Vera, Jake Witt and Ty Witt; and by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2004, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Duncan Rankin officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Mike Elliott, Robert Elliott, Bill Reynolds, Ben Witt, Bill Witt and Steven Braden will serve as pallbearers.
