From the Knoxville News Sentinel 22 Aug 2004 JENNINGS, ROY - age 83, of Heiskell, LEMARR, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN - age 67, of LaFollette, WELLS, ROGER DALE - age 63, of Nashville formerly of Oak Ridge, JENNINGS, ROY - age 83, of Heiskell, passed away Friday, August 20, 2004 at his home. He was born April 14, 1922 in Anderson County. Roy was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church and his favorite hobby was repairing antique clocks. Roy was also United States Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by parents, Dexter & Mandy Humphrey Jennings; sons, Michael Lynn Jennings & Donald Wayne Jennings. Survivors: wife of 62 years, Lucille Duncan Jennings, of Heiskell, Tn; sister, Zella Hudson of Clinton, Tn; sisters-in-law, Cleo & Marolyn Duncan of Heiskell, Tn; several nieces & nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 22, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Holley- Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 AM on Monday, August 23, 2004 at Sartin Cemetery with Rev. Allen Giles officiating. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. LEMARR, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN - age 67, of LaFollette, passed away Friday, August 20, 2004 at St. Mary's of Campbell Co. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a Mason and member of LaFollette Masonic Lodge 623 F&AM. Preceded in death by wife Bertha LeMarr, parents Dave & Bertha LeMarr, brothers, Tom & Ewing (Bud) LeMarr, sisters, Marie Carmany, Jewell Monicke & Lorian Lemarr. Survivors: sons: Franklin & Bobby LeMarr, both of LaFollette, and Gene E Wallace of Jasper, Tenn.; daughters JoAnn Williamson & Judy Lee both of LaFollette, Lorian Ross, of Deer Lodge, TN.; brothers: Lowell & Floyd LeMarr, of LaFollette; sisters: Ella Mae LeMarr & Joyce Franklin, of LaFollette; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; lots of nieces & nephews and a host of relatives & friends and a very special friend Evelyn Ridenour. Funeral service: 2 p.m. Monday Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Rev. Jimmy Griffith & Rev Ronnie Freeman officiating. Interment: Well Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with Masonic service at 8 p.m. at Cross Funeral Home. WELLS, ROGER DALE - age 63, of Nashville formerly of Oak Ridge, passed away August 19, 2004 after a long illness. Mr. Wells loved life and never met a stranger. He was an avid golfer and a former member of Oak Ridge Country Club. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Survived by wife Teresa Hammer Wells; children Sheree Johnson of Maynardville Tn., Michael Scott Wells of Andersonville Tn., Brian David Wells of San Jose' Ca.; stepson Matthew G. Monday and wife Hassie of Clinton Tn.; grandchildren Sarai Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Kristyn Wells, Ashley Wells, Meagan Wells and Chelsea Armes; sister Nancy Hall and husband Marvin of Elizabeth Colorado; brother Phillip Wells and wife Nancy of Macon Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service 10 a.m. Tuesday morning at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel.
