KENNETH PAUL - age 69 of Oakdale, OVERBAY, GEORGIA T. - of LaFollette, departed this life on Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at her daughters home in Knoxville. She was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, & the Order of Eastern Star, Cumberland Mountain Chapter # 137. Preceded in death by: husband, Albert E. Overbay; sister, Grace Kidwell; brother, Ancil Tidwell; parents, Henry & Sally Wilhoit Tidwell. Survivors: daughter & son-in-law, Fay & Charles W. Tompkins, Knoxville; son & daughter-in-law, Walter (Toby) & Barbara Overbay, LaFollette; grandsons, Charles (Chuck) Tompkins & friend Cheryl Rutledge, of Knoxville, Todd & Thad Overbay of Jacksboro; great grandchildren, Heather & Melanie Tompkins, of Knoxville, Theron & Ashton Overbay, Caitlin & Candace Overbay, of Jacksboro; sister, Nora Lee, of LaFollette; brother, Everett Tidwell, Bowling Green, KY. Funeral Service 8 p.m. Friday Cross Chapel. Rev. Hobert McCreary, Rev. Kenny Gillum officiating. Interment 10 a.m. Saturday Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cross Funeral Home, LaFollette. SIMPSON, OVA - age 74 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Simpson was an ordained minister of the Baptist faith and served as Pastor in several of the local Churches. He was a missionary for Haiti and jail ministry for Campbell County. He was a loving husband, son and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by: father, Oza Simpson. Mr. Simpson is survived by: wife, Mary Rose Marcum Simpson of LaFollette; mother, Bertha Hill Simpson Tharpe of Knoxville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luster and Sue Simpson and Oza and Marlene Simpson all of Caryville; brother, H. L. Simpson; sisters, Mildred Moon of Knoxville; Gladys Stevens of Huntsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gerldine and Oscar Brock of Jacksboro; Vivian and Otis Lindsay of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 8 pm Thursday, August 26 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Mobley officiating. Interment will be 11 am Friday in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday before funeral services. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements. WILSON, MR. KENNETH PAUL - age 69 of Oakdale, formerly of Michigan, passed away Monday August 23, 2004 at the Life Care Center of Morgan County. He was a cherished father, grandfather and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who know or ever met him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Ruth Wilson; parents, Pious and Enid Wilson; and one brother, Thomas Wilson. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Kathleen and Anthony Perry of Michigan; two grandchildren, Keith A. Perry and Toni Joyce Perry.
