    1. Re: [TNCAMPBE-L] Joseph & Morena (Nelson) CAMPBELL family

    3. I've wondered about Pulaski Nelson also. There were several Nelson families in Campbell County in this time period - Pulaski Nelson, George Washington Nelson, Martin Nelson, William Nelson, and Enoch Nelson. Now I have documentation that William was Enoch Nelson's father as well as the father of Riley, Merrill, and Gabriel Nelson. But I have wondered if the other Nelson's in the county were related in some way to William. The Nelsons seemed to live in that part of the county that later became part of Union county as well - and over in Union county was also a Joseph Nelson. The names between the families for the children are remarkably similar and I have found one of William Nelson's sons signing an affadavit for Joseph Nelson's widow after the civil war when she applied for her son Peter's pension (he died of measles in the war). Does anyone else have any info that would shed some light on if there is any relationship between all these Nelsons - or if it is just a bunch of unrelated Nelsons in one place?? Thanks! Suzanne M. Perhaps Catherine is a daughter of Morena from her first marriage to Pulaski NELSON. Who knows the names of Pulaski & Morena NELSON's children? I have found info on another web page that "Pulaski NELSON is shown on the 1830 Knox County, TN census as being 20-30 years of age (born 1800-1810 with one female, age 0-4 and one male 0-5 (born 1825-1830), and one female 20-30 who would have been Mareny, born 28 March 1807 from bible records."
