PHILLIPS, MR. JASPER - age 80 of Wartburg, TN, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Alma "Billie" Duncan, age 70, of Clinton, passed away Friday, February 13, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Born May 30, 1933. She was of Baptist Faith and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, William (Bill) and Hattie Guy; husband Wendell A Duncan Jr.; sister and brother in-law Mildred and Ray Goddard; sister and brother in-law Mae and James Long; brother in-law Leon and Lou Duncan; sister in-law Boots Duncan all from Clinton; sister and brother in-law Mary and Fain Williams of Bristol. Survivors: daughter, Joy and husband Joe O'Neal of Clinton; granddaughter, Meagan O'Neal; brother, James (Bud) Guy; sister, Rosa Lee Vowell; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 15, 2004 from 6-8 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. The funeral service will be Monday, February 16, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Hulse officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Cemetery. JASPER - age 80 of Wartburg, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2004. He was an active deacon of Liberty Baptist Church for over 56 years. He was employed by the Tennessee Forestry Department, as a Ranger for over 35 years. He served in the US Army during WW II in the South Pacific. Jasper was well known throughout the community and was loved by everyone he met. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carrie; parents, Sherman and Mary; sisters, Dixie and Josephine; brothers, Jesse and John. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Roger Elliot of Hendersonville, TN, and Diana and Ronald Powell of McMinnville, TN.; six grandchildren: Richard, Micki, Tammy, Jesse, Carrie and Becky; seven great, grandchildren; brothers: James and Junior of Wartburg, TN. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 15th, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Powell, Roger Elliot, and Dr. Paul Frick officiating.
