From The Oak ridger 21 Oct 2004 Eurel Leonard Grizzle, 67, of Oliver Springs, Rachel Roberts, 53, of Oliver Springs, Eurel Leonard Grizzle, 67, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at the Mabry Health Care Center of Gainsboro. Born Nov. 27, 1936, in Woodbury, he lived in Oliver Springs for 24 years before moving to Cookeville in 1974. Mr. Grizzle was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, managed the Direct Oil Service Station in Oliver Springs, and worked as a heavy equipment operator and a butcher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Beddie West Grizzle. He is survived by his children, Becky Day, of Oliver Springs, Bryan Grizzle and fiancee, Joan Jorns, of Deer Lodge, and Kevin Grizzle and wife, Kim, of Harriman; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Melinda and Ryan Day, and Jamie, Jesse, Joshua, Matthew and Elijah Grizzle; his great-grandchild, Alexis Grizzle; his brothers, Robert, Charles, Buford and Wayne Grizzle, all of Cookeville; his sisters, Evon, Martha Jo and Linda, all of Cookeville; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery in Oliver Springs, with Pastor Garvin Walls officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. Rachel Roberts, 53, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
