Born April 24, 1925, in Morgan County, he was the son of Carl and Gertie Cooper. Mr. Cooper was an active member of Oliver Springs Church of Christ and had served as a deacon for many years. He retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems in Oak Ridge after working as a machinist at the Y-12 Plant for 34 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing after his retirement, his family said. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dayton Cooper and Hayes Cooper. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Enyart Cooper, of Oliver Springs; two daughters, Brenda Bolden and husband, Ray, and Diane Carden and husband, Gerald Lee Jr., all of Oliver Springs; his sister, Armilda "Sue" Jackson, of Oliver Springs; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Melton and husband, Ed, of Killeen, Texas, and Lorene Stern, of Mattoon, Ill.. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Carmen Suter and husband, Timothy, and Gerald Carden III and wife, Jennifer, all of Clinton, Kevin Bolden and wife, Tina, of Oak Ridge, and Jerree Kent and husband, Michael, of Tampa, Fla.; his great-grandchildren, Chelsea Kent, Michael Kent II, Emilee Suter, Gage Suter and Bailee Bolden; and by several friends and extended family members. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with Richard Powlus and Ed Melton officiating. Fannie Mae Henderson, 75, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at her home. Born Jan. 8, 1929, in Opelika, Ala., she was the daughter of Willie and Nellie Kirk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henderson Sr., a daughter, Deborah Lynn Gipson, a granddaughter, Shantrell Geané Harris, and five brothers and a sister, Isadore Kirk, Willie Kirk, Albert Kirk, Otis Kirk, Edward Kirk and Mae Lilly Kirk. Mrs. Henderson is survived by her eight sons, Calvin Kirk and wife, Carolyn, of Fayetteville, N.C., Melvin Kirk and wife, Cynthia, Richard Kirk, William Henderson and wife, Leslie, and Gregory Henderson and wife, Antione, all of Nashville, Jeremiah Henderson and Stafford Henderson, both of Oak Ridge, and Kenneth Henderson of Dallas, Texas; five daughters, Patricia Jones and husband, Lorenzo, of Opelika, Shirley Dunlap and husband, Michael, of Detroit, Mich., Diane Willis and husband, Anthony, of Jacksonville, Fla., June McClanahan of Oak Ridge and Peggie Henderson of Nashville; 46 grandchildren, 14 whom she raised including Michael Gipson, Kimon Henderson, Shondra Gipson, Autumn Gipson, Jeremy Henderson, Voncé Henderson, Jasmine Henderson, Dewanna Henderson, Dasjanae McClanahan, Jessica McClanahan, Jakari McClanahan, Dequesha McClanahan, Jalondré McClanahan, and Demauray McClanahan; a devoted granddaughter, Angela Heard of Opelika; and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Callie Summers, of Gary, Ind.; two aunts, Odessa Scott of Lafayette, Ala., and Mae Lilly Kirk of Cleveland, Ohio; devoted nieces, Ann Lewis and Eloise Kirk of Oak Ridge; a goddaughter, Pinkie Daniels of Oak Ridge; and many other of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Darris Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Everett Leon Johnson, 65, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at the Briarcliff Health Care Center. Born January 24, 1939, in Scottsboro, Ala., he was the son of Lee and Inez Lewis Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of Solway Baptist Church and retired from the city of Oak Ridge after 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Margie Bell Patterson Johnson; his children, David Wayne Johnson and wife, Suzanne, of Oak Ridge, and Sharon Diane Cushman, of Oliver Springs; his stepson, Terry Ray Patterson and wife, Evelyn, of Sweetwater; his grandchildren, Sherry Lee Johnson, Lakisha Johnson, Tracy Carroll, Laural Carroll, Jessica Lewis, David Wayne Johnson Jr., Amber Patterson, Terry Ray Patterson Jr., Amanda Patterson, Heather Patterson and Christian Matthew Patterson; and a great-granddaughter, Bailey Marie Carroll, and a great-grandson, Braden Parker. Abner Curtis "Curt" Jordan, 85, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born in Eclectic, Ala. March 7, 1919, he was the son of Abner Emmitt and Reathie Howard Jordan. He moved to Oak Ridge in 1943 where he worked with the construction of the K-25 plant. After the construction of the plant, he was hired by Union Carbide as a supervisor in the production division, where he worked until his retirement in 1981. Mr. Jordan was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Tennessee Charolais Association, and the American International Charolais Association. He enjoyed quail hunting, gardening, training his English Setters, and raising pure bred Charolais cattle, his family said. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Austin Jordan and Morris Jordan; and twin granddaughters, Lisa and Laura Davis. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jordan; his son, Michael C. Jordan and wife, Lorene, of Oak Ridge; his two daughters, Scarlett Collins and husband, Jerry, of Ashland City, and Cheryl Davis and husband, Ronald, of Charleston; his brother, A. Kyle Jordan and wife, Alice, of Seattle, Wash.; his two sisters, Gwen McGriff and husband, Wayne, and Emma Lou Bishop and husband, Borum, all of Montgomery, Ala.; his five grandchildren, Kimberly Bentley of Benton, Kyle Rogers, of Atlanta, Ga., Curt Davis of Hutchinson, Kan., Michael Davis and Michelle Gamble, both of Knoxville; and his four great-grandchildren, Brianna Bentley, Abigail Bentley, Riley Davis and Seth Gamble; as well as many extended family members and friends. She was retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eual Watson, sister, Beatrice Loveday, and a sister-in-law, Mary Rene Watson. She was the daughter of Joseph S. Russell and Alice Jane Scandlyn Russell. Mrs. Wright was an active member of Dyllis Baptist Church where she taught the Martha Butler Sunday School class for several years. She was a homemaker, a devoted mother and a loving grandmother, her family said. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Wright; her son-in-law, Donald Wayne Ellis; her sisters, Lillian Stubbs, Mary Dunsmore and Ruby Wright; and her brothers, Alfred Russell, Lawrence Russell, James Russell, Walt Russell and Joseph Alvin Russell. She is survived by her children, Nancy Ellis, of Knoxville, Johnny N. Wright and wife, Barbara, of Oliver Springs, Kathy Taylor and husband, Bill, of Greeville, S.C.; her grandchildren, Michael W.
