From the Oak Ridger 8 Oct 2004 Debra A. Evans, 35, of Wartburg, Clarence Linville Weatherford Jr., 54, of Knoxville, formerly of Clinton, Kathleen A. Gruen, 79, of Oak Ridge, Debra A. Evans, 35, of Wartburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman. She was a member of the Little Community Baptist Church in Marlow community. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Geri Oliver Brumit and Eather Byrge. Mrs. Evans is survived by her daughter, Nikole Evans, of Wartburg; her mother, Nancy Hester and husband, Roger, of Wartburg; her father, Frank Byrge, of Oak Ridge; her brother, Michael Byrge, of Wartburg; her sister, Loretta Byrge, of Oak Ridge; her fiancé, Mike Pickard, of Harriman; her nephew, Dustin Byrge; her uncle, Joe Brumit II, of Ashville, N.C.; her aunt, Frances Ledford, of Franklin, N.C.; and her grandmother, Lottie West, of Coalfield. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg with the Rev. Burtchfield and the Rev. Wayne Morgan officiating. The burial will follow at the Little Community Baptist Church cemetery. The pallbearers will be Michael Byrge, Mike Pickard, Tim Evans, Danny Mullins, Dewayne Butler and Logan Aslinger. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the funeral home. Clarence Linville Weatherford Jr., 54, of Knoxville, formerly of Clinton, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton. Mr. Weatherford loved NASCAR, hunting and, most of all, tailgating at the University of Tennessee football games, his family said. He graduated from Norris High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Weatherford managed Frank's Downtown BP Service on South Broadway in Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Linville Weatherford; a nephew, Chadwick David Seivers; his grandparents, Clarence Martin Weatherford, Edith Weatherford, Thomas Oscar Shelby and Ester Lee Shelby. He is survived by his mother, Robbie Lee Weatherford, of Clinton; his brothers, Danny Weatherford and wife, Peggy, of Powell, and Michael Weatherford and wife, Lisa, of South Clinton; his sisters, Diane Wade and husband, Stan, Nancy Jean Jerrell and husband, Darrell, Teresa Seivers and husband, David, all of Clinton; special friends, Becky McMillan, Frank and Evelyn Bender; and by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, close friends and working associates. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Kathleen A. Gruen, 79, of Oak Ridge, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
