From The Knoxville News Sentinel 13 Oct 2004 DAVIS, JEFFREY GLENN - 63, of Oak Ridge, NAUMER, DALE - age 80, of Kingston, WATSON, GEORGIA MAE PARTON of Claxton, DAVIS, JEFFREY GLENN - 63, of Oak Ridge, died at his home on Monday morning, October 11, 2004. He attended Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. He enjoyed golf, attending UT football and Lady Vols basketball games, and motor home rallies. He graduated from Union University in Jackson, has a Masters Degree in Public Health from Tulane University, and a Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. Dr. Davis served 28 years in the United States Air Force from 1962-1990. He retired in 1990 with the Rank of Colonel. After beginning his career as Flight Surgeon, his last two positions in the Air Force were Commander of the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas and Deputy Command Surgeon for Systems Command, Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Fairborn, Ohio. After retiring from the Air Force he continued to practice Occupational Medicine in Oak Ridge with ORAU, Coal Centra, and most recently with Net Gain. He was preceded in death by: his father, James Glenford Davis; his son, Jeffrey Glenn Davis II. He is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Faye Farmer Davis; his son, James Roger Davis and wife. Becca and was eagerly waiting the birth of his first grandchild later this month. He is also survived by: his mother, Evelyn Barnette Davis; his sister, Ann Davis Findlan and husband Gerry of Oberlin, OH. Funeral services will be Thursday October 14, 2004 at 12 noon at the First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge with Rev. Dewey Corder officiating. Interment will be Friday October 15, 2004 at 10:00 AM C.S.T. at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 11-12 at the Church on Thursday. NAUMER, DALE - age 80, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Baptist Healthcare Center, Lenoir City, TN. He was a Retired Aeronautical Engineer working at Westinghouse in Oak Ridge where he was very active in the Clinch River Breeder Reactor Project. A Veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy and the Navy Reserve. He was also a graduate of Parks College St. Louis University and was a Mason in Lodge 110 in Lebanon, IL. He is survived by: his beloved wife of 57 years, Daphane Naumer; two daughters, Kristi Scalera and son-in-law Bill; Nancy Watson; one brother, Ronald and Carol Naumer of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Erissa and Derrek Scalera and Sophie Gravel; nieces, Lorry Watkins, Tammy Weidinger; and nephew, Brad Naumer. A special thanks to Wellington Place Assisted Living in Kingston for their outstanding care during Dale's illness. In accordance with Mr. Naumer's wishes, the body will be cremated. WATSON, GEORGIA MAE PARTON of Claxton, passed away October 10, 2004 after struggling eight years with Alzheimer's and its complications. She was born November 6, 1928 and was a graduate of Sevier Co. High School. She was preceded in death by: husband, Eual Watson; father, Calvin Parton; mother, Willie Frances Lowe Parton; sister, Beatrice Loveday; and beloved sister-in-law, Mary Rene Watson. She is survived by: one brother, Leroy "Buddy" Parton; and seven children, Steve Watson, Benny and Judy Bible-Smith, Patricia and Terry Long, Kimberly Black, Darlene Watson, Theresa Croft, and John Watson; grandchildren, Lisa Roberts, Chuck Bible, Brian Henegar, Jesse Watson, Shauntay Watson, Joe Tyler Watson, Scott and Cameron Beeler, Rock Black; 4 great- grandchildren. She was a Martin Marietta retiree and a member of Riverview Baptist Church. A special thank you to caregivers, Valerie Nemes, Bhula Wilson, and Jeri Bouchard. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7pm with memorial services to follow at 7 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home, 160 Edgemoor Road, with Rev. David Watson officiating. A private interment services will be in the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
