From The Oak Ridger 9 Jul 2004 Imogene Smithson, 75, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Jones; one brother and five sisters; and by her parents, Talbert and Modene (Futrell) Brown. Mrs. Smithson is survived by her husband, John E. Smithson; her daughter, Threasa Jones, of Oliver Springs; and by her sister-in-law, Barbara Brown, of Graves County in Kentucky. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004, in the chapel of Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, Ky., with the Rev. Dwight Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
