From The Oak Ridger 8 Jul 2004 Alyssa Jade Byrge, Robert W. Eanes, 84, of Kingsport, Alyssa Jade Byrge, infant daughter of April Lynn Byrge of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was born Wednesday, July 7, 2004. In addition to her mother, Alyssa is survived by her grandparents, Gary and Khris Byrge, and by her great-grandparents, George and Shirley Byrge and Ernest and Barbara Steelman, all of Oliver Springs. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Oliver Springs Cemetery. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of arrangements. Robert W. Eanes, 84, of Kingsport, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at his home. Born in Blountville, he resided in Kingsport most of his life. Mr. Eanes attended Emory and Henry College and then served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in China, Burma and India during World War II. He retired in 1984 from Tennessee Eastman Co. with 45 years of service in human resources having also worked at Holston Defense Corp. and Arkansas Eastman. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Grace Williams Eanes; two sons, Robert Eanes Jr. and Michael D. Eanes; four sisters, Ruth Warrick, Zollie Conduff, Mary Powell Napoleon and Margaret Eanes; and by a brother Sam P. Eanes. Mr. Eanes is survived by his wife of 62 years, Katherine H. Eanes; two daughters, Sheila Eanes of Kingsport and Anne Bradley and husband, J.R., of Oak Ridge; two sons, Pat Eanes and wife, Luci, of Charlotte, N.C., and John Eanes and wife, Sabra, of Kingsport; and by two daughters-in-law, Susan B. Eanes of Big Pine Key, Fla., and Maria Eanes Broyles of Port Orange, Fla.; He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Bridget Gieseke of Guerneville, Calif., Sean Eanes of Goose Creek, S.C., Karen Lewis of Gray, Michael Eanes of Morristown, Sam Eanes of Johnson City, Monica Edwards of Winston-Salem, N.C., Alisa Eanes of Charlotte, N.C., Steve Bradley of Charleston, S.C., Randy Bradley of the U.S. Air Force, Holly Fain of Buffalo, N.Y., Heath Eanes of Johnson City and Laura Eanes of Kingsport; and by 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass will be at noon Saturday, July 10, 2004, at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Kingsport with the Rev. Charles Burton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 9, at the church with a Christian Wake prayer service at 8 p.m. The family requests any memorials be in the form of contributions to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2517 N.
