Friday, July 23, 2004 Funeral Services for Zenas Sharp, 77 of Cookeville will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Friday, July 23, 2004 at the funeral home. Mr. Sharp died on Thursday, July 22, 2004, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 25, 1926 in Campbell County, in the Elk Valley Community, to the late Rev. Will Sharp and Hannah Baird Sharp. He was a construction worker an was employed by City Machine and Tool of Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Sharp was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God. His family includes his wife of 37 years, Peggy Sue Sharp of Cookeville; a daughter Kathy and Jack Chasteen of Toledo; a son and daughter in law, James R. (Jim) and Melanie Sharp of Columbia, S. C.; four sisters, Lousie Smith of Cookeville, Betty Haynes and Wanda Sharp both of Toledo;and Edna Sharp of Galveston, Texas; a brother Charles (Chuck)Sharp of Toledo; three grandsons, Todd Dobes of Toledo, Robert and Sherry Sharp of Gurney, Illinois, and Justin Sharp of Columbia, S. C; and a great-granddaughter Felicia Dobes of Toledo. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister. Bros. Kenneth Stephens, L. C.Buttery and Eldon Cupp will officiate. This was my dad. He was a resident of Masters Heath Care Center in Algood, Tennessee for the last three years. He had acute renal kidney failure. His grandparents were Jesse H. ("Tater") Baird and Mary E. Gaylor Baird, John Sharp and Martha Lay Sharp. from Kathy Sharp Chasteen
