From The Knoxville News Sentinel 9 Jul 2004 SMITH, ANITA CAROL - age 70 of Clinton, formerly of Lake City, WILSON, DICIE - age 101, of Caryville, SMITH, ANITA CAROL - age 70 of Clinton, formerly of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at her home. She was born September 29, 1933 in Central City, Ky. She attended Lake City Christian Fellowship Church where she enjoyed working in the soup kitchen. Carol also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Smith, her parents, Raymond and Flo Cundiff and her brother, Jarmon Cundiff. Survivors: son, Don "Bub" Smith, Lake City; daughters, Debbie & husband, Lee Hatmaker, Clinton, Karen & husband, Rick Schubert, Clinton, Connie & husband, Richard Gargis, Claxton, Jackie Smith, Oak Ridge, Anita & Nick Dunaway, Crossville; sister, Kathaline Morris, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Visitation 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Lake City Christian Fellowship Church. Memorial services to follow visitation at the Lake City Christian Fellowship Church, with Pastor Justin Phillips officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake City Christian Fellowship Soup Kitchen in memory of Mrs. Smith. Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of arrangements. WILSON, DICIE - age 101, of Caryville, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2004 at St. Mary's Health & Rehab Center, LaFollette. She was a member of Beech Fork Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Luther Wilson, sons, Claude & Stanley Wilson & daughter Christine Daughtery. Survivors: sons & daughters-in-law: Truman & Venie Wilson, Harold & Mary Wilson, Kenneth & Dot Wilson, Ralph & Maeoma Wilson, Hazel Wilson; daughters & sons-in-law: Mae & Harry Jones, Thelma & Estel Jones, all of Caryville; 87 grandchildren; great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives & friends, Funeral service: 8 p.m. Saturday Cross Chapel Rev. Harold Duncan, Rev. Jobby Byrge officiating.
