    3. The Ypsilanti Press SCHOOLER, HOWARD E. Ypsilanti, Township, Michigan Age 67, died Friday, October 30, 1981 at his residence. Born January 25, 1914 in Pruden, Tenn., the son of George and Jane ( Proffitt ) Schooler. He married Lillian Webb on September 2, 1938 and she survives. A Coal Miner for 25 years, he came to Ypsilanti in October of 1956 where he was employed by Ford Motor Company Sheldon Road plant retiring in 1967. Surviving besides his wife, is one daughter, Mrs. Milton ( Joan ) Hanson of Maybee, Mich.; one son Raymond Schooler of Maryville, Tenn; six grandchildren; five brother, Ralph and George Schooler of Ypsilanti, Ruben Schooler of Jackson and Charlie Schooler of Middlesboro, Ky.: two sisters, Edna Withrow of Ypsilant, Mrs. Aurelia Gulley of Taylor, Mich. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Moore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tilmon Bargo of Ypsilanti Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Those desiring may make contribution to Michigan Heart or Lung Association. Envelopes are available at Moore Memorial Chapel where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. The Ypsilant Press Mrs. Jane Schooler Mrs. Jane Schooler, 75, of Ypsilanti was pronounced dead on arrival at Beyer Memorial Hospital Monday 01 November 1965, following a cerebral vascular accident at her residence. Mrs. Schooler had been in apparently good health having attended church services as usual on Sunday. She had written and mailed a letter to one of her sons and had just returned to the house when she was stricken. Mrs. Schooler was born May 10, 1890 in Claiborne County, Tenn. She was married to George R. Schooler, Sr., who preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1926. She came to Ypsilanti to make her home on Oct. 30, 1954, and had resided here since. She was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church of Ypsilanti. Surviving her are two daughter, Mrs. Aurelia Gulley of Taylor and Mrs. Edna Withrow of Ypsilanti; seven sons, Edgar of Fort Wayne, Ind., James of Rockwood, Tenn, Ruben of Jackson and Howard, Charles, Ralph and the Rev. George, Jr., all of Ypsilanti; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Middlesboro, Ky., with the Cawood Funeral Home there in charge. Interment will follow in Hensley Chapel Cemetery in Noetown, Ky. Local arrangements were completed by the Geer Funeral Home.
