From The Oak Ridger 14 Jul 2004 Venia Antrican, 94, of Oak Ridge, Joyce Shackelford, 65, of Clinton, formerly of Oliver Springs, Harold James Braden, 75, of Coalfield, Venia Antrican, 94, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Little Cove Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elisha Antrican; her parents, Houston and Nancy Drinnon Lamb; a son, Joe Antrican; two brothers, Bill Lamb and Matt Lamb; a sister, Susan Bowlin; and by a grandson, William Scott Hyatt. Mrs. Antrican is survived by three daughters, Shirley McCluskey and husband, Charles, Lucy Hyatt and Maxine Duarte and husband, Richard, all of Clinton; two sons, James D. Antrican and wife, Wanda, of Bluff City and Gary Wayne Antrican and wife, Kathy, of Clinton; and by a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Antrican, of Clinton. She is also survived by her sister, Della Gass, of Ormand Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren, James Antrican Jr., Linda Raby, Brian Bowman, James Antrican, Kenneth Hyatt, Julia Starnes, Lisa Pacheco, Dustin Antrican and January Antrican; and by 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Raymond Scholtz officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 15, at the Mausoleum of Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Joyce Shackelford, 65, of Clinton, formerly of Oliver Springs, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. She was born March 29, 1939, in Anderson County and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of Tuppertown Baptist Church. She had worked as a clerk at the Bread Box Convenient Store chain in the surrounding area. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shawna Lynn Shackelford; her parents, Luke and Barbara Patterson Tinker; two brothers, Buford and Junior Tinker; and by a sister, Hazel Tinker. She is survived by three sons, Bryan K. Shackelford of Spartanburg, S.C., Paul Shackelford and wife, Melissa, of Oliver Springs and Joey A. Shackelford of Heiskell; and by four grandchildren, ChaTara "Tay-Tay" Shackelford, Dylan "Bub-ba" Shackelford, Dakota "Kota" Shackelford and Dalena "Lena" Shackelford. She is also survived by five sisters, Bobbie Tinker Mehr of Clinton, Linda Tinker Wakefield, Wilma Tinker Reynolds and Patricia Tinker Schmidt, all of Oak Ridge, and Cathy Tinker of Nashville; six brothers, Harold Tinker and Lowell Tinker, both of Coalfield, Manuel Tinker, Ray Tinker and Gary Tinker, all of Oliver Springs, and Merle Tinker of Briceville; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and special friends. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Mack Smith officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, at Jackson Cemetery in Coalfield. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Harold James Braden, 75, of Coalfield, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
