She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, Rufus Glenn Moore; daughter, Glenda Sue Moore; parents, Wendell & Hattie Hammock; sisters, Margaret Lawson, Lucille Newberry, Ruth Roach, brother, Edward Hammock. Survivors, daughter, Verna L. Moore of Clinton, Tn.; son, David S. Moore and wife Kathy of Clinton, Tn.; grandchildren, Romona Gwynn & husband, Frank, Jeff Boyd & wife, Chris, Wendy Scott & husband, David, James Boyd & Heather Powers; great- grandchildren. Kevin & Ashley Boyd, Alexis Gwynn; half- sister, Betty Hammock of Georgia. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2004 from 6 to 8 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 19th at 2:00 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lynn Mowery officiating. RHEA, LUCY CHARLENE CLOWERS - age 81 of Lake City, TN passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at her residence. She was born September 8, 1923 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Millard and Christine Todd Clowers. She was a member of the Guilding Star Baptist Church. She loved gardening, animals and spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd, Lloyd and Samy "Cotton" Clowers, sisters, Edith and Flora Clowers. Survivors: husband of 54 years, Willard Rhea Lake City, TN; daughter, Nona Shumaker & husband Ray Lake City, TN; brother, Willard Clowers Robbins, TN; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
