W.C. "BILL" - age 88, of Andersonville went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2004. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Knoxville. His ministry spanned 58 years of service to Southern Baptist Churches in the Knoxville, Clinton, & Middlesboro, KY. areas. Some of the churches he pastored included: Linden Ave. Baptist Church, Highland Baptist Church, Third Creek Baptist Church, & Basswood Baptist Church in Knoxville. He also pastored Old Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY, Gap Creek Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN., & Pleasant View Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. He was preceded in death by: 1st. wife, Margaret Wallace Cardwell; son, Charles Allen Cardwell; several brothers & sisters. Survivors: wife, Stella; sons, Ron Cardwell and Ken Cardwell of Chattanooga; steps sonsm Gary, Mike, Bill, & Richard Berrier; several grand & great grandchildren. CODY, LOUIS WEBSTER SR. - age 62, of Clinton, Tennessee Went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was employed at Wackenhut K-25/Oak Ridge, Tennessee for 27 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran having served two tours in Vietnam in the Military Police Unit. He belonged to the Atomic City Sportsmen's Club, East Tennessee Pinochle Club and Fraternal Order of Police, TN State Lodge. He was a faithful member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents; Daniel Webster & Emma Lou Cody; sister, Essie Marshal Neal Cody-Washington. HYDER, ROY CURTIS - age 87, of Lake City went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Lake City Healthcare Center. Roy was self-employed until retirement. He enjoyed gardening and loved sharing his wonderful produce and beautiful flowers with friends and family. He was preceded in death by parents, A. J. He was of the Baptist Faith receiving Christ when he was a young boy. He served in WWII in Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland central Europe under General Patton. He received the American Theater Campaign Medal, Eamet Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal A.R. 600 - 68, Bronze Star Medal A.R. 600 - 45, Victory Medal and received a letter of recognition signed by Harry S. Truman. Delbert was a master carpenter and mason having built homes and barns throughout east Tennessee. He was preceded in death by: parents, Ruben and Cleo Stout Stooksbury; brothers, James, Leon and Verlen (Jake); and sister, Earcel D. Mynatt. Survived by: son and daughter-in-law, James and Rhonda; grandchildren, Gabe, Jennifer, Kali, Katlyn, Kasi, Jayci, and Stacy; great granddaughters, Savannah, Kelly and Jenifer; sisters, Letha Henegar, Cleveland, TN, and Trula Oaks, Knoxville, TN; brother, Carl Stooksbury, Texas.
