Charles E Cox, Retired Navy Chief Chief Hospital Corpsman Charles E. Cox, USN (ret.), 48, of 56 Levin St. died today at the Bethesda, Md., Naval Hospital after a long illness. He was born Aug. 20, 1908, Jacksboro, Tenn., and was a veteran of World War II and the War. Chief Cox was not married and leaves no immediate family. Services will be conducted here at the Hambly Funeral Home 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Canon Lockett Ford Ballard, rector of Trinity Church. Burial will be in the Island Cemetery.
