    2. >From The Oak Ridger 23 Mar 2004 Dennis "Keith" Brock, 55, of Midtown, Mary Lucy Ledford, 82, of Rockwood, Ora "Mama Sue" Phillips of Clinton Ima Jean Everett, 60, of Harriman, |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| Dennis "Keith" Brock, 55, of Midtown, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Born in Crossville, he was the son of J.V. and Ethelene Brock of Oak Ridge. Mr. Brock lived in Crossville until age 5, when he moved to Oak Ridge. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1967 and soon moved to Roane County. There he was baptized in Christ at the Kingston Church of Christ. According to his family, Mr. Brock loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. His family said he also enjoyed rock crawling with the Plum Crazed Jeep Club, which he was a member. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3402. He was a retired machinist from the K-25 site, Tennessee Tool & Engineering and Cross Ridge Precision. His family said he touched the lives of many young men as little league football coach during the years 1977 through 1984. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Amanda Brock and Kelly and Prietta Jackson, all of Crossville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brock is survived by his wife, Linda Gillentine Brock; two sons, Dennis and wife, Jaime, and Jeff and wife, Dee; three stepchildren, June Rodriguez and husband, Joe, Deena Ladd and husband, Ricky, and Durk Marler and wife, Dana; his brother, Mike and wife, Kay, of Cleveland; and by two sisters, Donna Sheets and husband, Andy, and Patricia Morrow and husband, Mike, all of Oak Ridge. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Caanan, Eden, Christopher, Logan, Layna, Jessica, Coty, Etienne, Haley, Ashley; several nieces and nephews; and by his very dear and special friends, Keith and Dot Stout, Laura, Wendy, Mandi, Breeanna, of Harriman. A memorial service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, in the chapel of Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston. The family requests any memorials be in the form of contributions to Operation REACH, P.O. Box 981, Kingston, TN 37763. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary Lucy Ledford, 82, of Rockwood, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at her home. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Ledford Sr.; her parents, John and Stella Wright; a son, James H. Ledford Jr.; a granddaughter, Bethany King; three sisters, Annie Davis, Martha Clark and Sarah Bullard; and by a brother, Bill Wright. Mrs. Ledford is survived by two sons, Bobby Wright and wife, Lois, of Rockwood, and David Ledford and wife, Joanna, of Maryville; her daughter, Patricia Foster and husband, Danny, of Rockwood; two stepsons, Buddy Ledford and wife, Judy, of Oakdale, and Wilburn Ledford and wife, Carol, of Rockwood; and by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, John Wright of Knoxville and Joe Wright of Harriman; and by three sisters, Maggie Scott of Rockwood, Daisy Roberts of Texas and Mildred Snow of Kingston. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood with Albert Griffin and Hillary Broome officiating. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Piney grove Cemetery in Midtown. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Ora "Mama Sue" Phillips of Clinton died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at her residence. She was a Baptist. Her family said she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her husband, Robert W. Phillips; two sons, James Hicks and wife, Francis, of Clinton and Eddie Hicks and wife, Jan, of Oak Ridge; her brother, Harry Brittle and wife, Betty, of Clinton; five grandchildren, Tina Hicks, Ellie Michelle, Carla Hicks and Melissa Bowman and husband, Brent, all of Clinton, and Amada Sue Hicks of Cedar Springs, Mich.; her stepson, Robert Wayne Phillips of Clinton; her great-grandson, Brent Bowman Jr., of Clinton; her cousin, James Messamore and wife, Mary, of Clinton; and by her special friends, Peewee Roysden and wife, Doris, Ida Green, Novella Hatmaker and Danny Morrison, all of Clinton. According to her family, "Mama Sue" will be sadly missed by her friends and family. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2004, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Murl Phillips officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at Jarnigan's Chapel in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ima Jean Everett, 60, of Harriman, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
