He was of the Holiness Faith. Preceded in death by his great granddaughter Caleigh Laceann Haynes-Kimberlin; parents, Floyd and Cora Branam; brothers, Vestal and Monroe Branam; sister, Evelyn Smiddy and son-in-law Tommy Haynes. Pauline Arnett Elliott, age 84 of Dallas, Tx, formerly of Jellico died Feb. 22. Survivors include her sons, Wilbur Welch, Dallas, Tx, Steve Elliott, Ormond Beach, Fl, John Elliott, Daytona Beach, Fl; brother, John (Bill) Arnett, Dayton, Oh; five grandchildren. Evans age 87 of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Anthras Baptist Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by husband, Ted Evans; daughter, Juanita Lambdin and son, Lonas Evans. Survivors: sons, Dennis Ray Evans of Roses Creek, Jim Evans of Tackett Creek.; daughter, Barbara Weaver of LaFollette; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother Dorsey Hatfield of LaFollette; sister Katherine Weir of Florida. She was born Nov. 24, 1971 in Bristol, Tn but had made her home in Mountain City, Tn all of her life prior to moving to Knoxville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain City. A 1990 graduate of Johnson City High School and a 1995 graduate of E.T.S.U. having received a B.S. in Interior Design. She was the design director of Bluegreen Purchasing and Design Company of Knoxville. Preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Fred Beckett; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.L. McGuire. Survivors include her husband, David Fox, Knoxville; parents, Bill and Judy Beckett McGuire, Mountain City, Tn; brother, Patrick McGuire and wife, Laurie, Felts Mills, NY; maternal grandmother, Maxine Beckett, Winter Garden, Fl; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was born July 17, 1926 in Briceville to the late Fred and Vera Harris Hatmaker. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Nathaniel Hatmaker; brothers, Paul and Claude Hatmaker. Regina Ann Henderson, age 77 of Knoxville died Feb. 25 at the St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. She was born July 15 in Louisville, Ky to the late Henry Clay and Martha Ella Packett Byrd. She attended the Inskip Baptist Church of Knoxville. She loved tending to her Day Lilies in her garden. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald T. She was a Jehovah's Witness and spent her life teaching other the truths of the Bible. Having spent the last 32 years among the mountain folk she, she became beloved by many and will be missed. Survivors include her children, Lynda and Alan Miller, Dick and Wanda Klock, Chris and Calie Klock; grandchildren, Jessica, Timothy, Cameron and Brandt. Funeral services were March 3 at The Kingdom Hall. Georgia Esta Lindsay, age 86 of Jacksboro died Feb. 25 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church.Preceded in death by her husband, Goldmon Lindsay; daughters, Grace Elizabeth Tapp, Meady Ann Lasley, Dixie Fay Shelton; one grandson; one great great grandson; Parents,: Andy "A.J." and Almeady Williams Gross; five sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Carole Hill and husband, Paul of LaFollette, Kay Moore and husband Doug Richards of Destin, FL; grandson Avery Cook, Nashville, TN; special niece Marie Meredith of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A 1970 graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Tina was a long time member and Past President of the Farragut Jaycettes. Employed by Duratek Federal Services at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She formerly owned and operated convenience stores in Sevier and Knox Counties for many years. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was preceded in death by parents O.L. and Frankie Lutts and brother Tom.
