He was born Dec. 29, 1954 in Anderson County to the late Douglas and Anna Lou Sharp Bray. He served as Fire Chief of the Briceville Fire Department for two years. He was employed by the Lake City Police Department as a dispatcher for 12 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Anna Lou Sharp Bray; infant daughter, Melissa Lynn Bray. Survivors include his wife Teresa Bray; daughter, Crystal Bray; son, Matthew Bray; mother-in-law, Shirley Green, all of Lake City; sisters, Kathy West, Knoxville, Robin and husband, Tommy Burress of Coalfield; brothers, Harold Bray, Lake City, Danny Bray and wife, Judy, Briceville, Tommy Bray and wife, Judy, Knoxville, Randell Bray, Patrick "Pat" Bray, Kirk Bray and wife Tina, Clifford Bray and wife, Marika, all of Lake City; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many special friends. Funeral services were March 14 at Hatmaker Funeral Home with Rev. Jeryl Barnette, Rev. Houston Carroll and Rev. Verlin Sharp officiating. Jimmy Bledsoe, age 66 of Speedwell died March 9 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed playing bingo, hunting, and fishing. He was a very stern man and this made all who knew and loved him a stronger person through his love for all. Preceded in death by his father: Orbin Bledsoe. Buckley, age 90 of Jacksboro died March 15 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. She was a very faithful member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church. Retired in 1978 from TVA after many years of service. She taught piano lessons for 11 years at Jacksboro and Caryville. Preceded in death by her husband, R.S. (Bob) Buckley; parents, W.H. and Elizabeth (Queener) Kasefang; brother, Earnest Kasefang. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Bobby May, Jacksboro; granddaughters and husbands, Katherine May, Smyrna, Ga, Karen and Charlie Baird, Jacksboro, Laura and David Hundermark, Norris; grandson and wife, Will and Kim May, Jacksboro; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Channiott, Justin Bolton and Katelyn May; sister-in-law, Lucille Kasefang; several nieces and nephews. He was a Technology Teacher at LaFollette Middle School, a member of T.E.A., and a member of the Blue Masonic Lodge in Latonia, Ky. Preceded in death by his fathers, Carl Cox; brother, David Cox. Survivors include his wife, Tena Cox, LaFollette; daughters, Sonja Chilcutt, Clarksville, Samantha Shirley, Erlanger, Ky, Christy McDonald, Jacksboro, Jill Shoffner, Oak Ridge; sons, Darrell Gene Cox, Harrogate, George Christopher Barker, Bryson City, NC; mother, Bobbie G. Cooper, Jellico, Charles R. Cooper, Williamsburg, Ky; daughter, Betty Sue Crow, Hewitt, Tx; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; a multitude of friends and loved ones. Reva Mefford Cooper, age 86 of LaFollette passed away Monday, March 15, 2004 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the First Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper loved her church and to help her neighbors. She was preceded in death by two husbands: George Avery Mefford and Harvey Cooper; grandchildren, Preston Kirby III, Avery Mefford, Autumn Holder, Robert and Matilda Medfford and Kevin Hubbard ; parents: Beecher and Rushia Wright Luttrell; sister: Martha Woody and daughter-in-law, Liddie Mae Mefford. She was a member of the LaFollette First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband Lewis J. Wallace. Survivors include her sons, Tommie J. Wallace and wife, Lynda Carroll of LaFollette, Edward Paul Wallace and wife, Judy of Whitehall, OH; 10 grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Funeral services were private. Preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Scott Wells; parents, George W. and Flora Baird Wells; sisters: Martha Giandelia and Lorene Gladson. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Howard, Indiana; daughters, Dolores and husband, Charles Montgomery, Az, Charlene and husband, Benny Breeden, Indiana; son, Wayne and wife, Debbie Woodward, Mi; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Athalie Wilson, Oh; many other loving family members.
