AMBERS - age 67 of Sunbright, |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| CLARK, LYNN B. - 89 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Rogersville, died Friday, March 12, 2004. A longtime barber. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary, Monday, March 15th at 8 PM with Rev. Aldana Allen officiating. A graveside service, with full military honors by the Volunteer State War Era Honor Guards, will be on Tuesday, 11 AM at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, 6 - 8 PM at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge. SHANNON, MR. AMBERS - age 67 of Sunbright, passed away Friday, March 12th, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a life long member of White Oak Baptist Church of Sunbright and has been an active deacon most of his membership. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Shannon and two brothers, Lones Shannon and Manus Shannon, all of Sunbright. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joann Sexton Shannon; six children; daughter, Kathy and the late Mike Garrett of Sunbright; son, Rex Shannon of Sunbright; son, Thurman and Sandra Shannon of Wartburg; daughter, Michelle and Doug Trout of Lancing; son, Sherman Shannon, daughter, Robin Shannon, both of Sunbright; five grandchildren: Tyler Trout, Devin and Braxton Shannon, Adam Garrett, and Danielle Rogers; three brothers: Amos Shannon, Coy Shannon, and James Allen Shannon; four sisters: Oma Voiles, Ina McClusky, Zonia Thomas, and Imogene Waters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, March 14th, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15th, at 2:00 p.m. at White Oak Baptist Church, Sunbright, with Bro. David Coffman and Bro. Larry Watters officiating.
