Michael was born October 10, 1955. He was a loving son, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Nelson is survived by: daughter, Christy Damron of Lafollette; grandson, James Keith Damron; granddaughters, Ivy and Cheyanne Damron; mother, Geraldine Nelson all of Lafollette; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Don Daughtery of Jacksboro, Vickie and Michael Massengill of Lafollette, Jackie and Johnny Jones of Jacksboro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Judy Nelson, Stanley and Linda Nelson, Danny and Wilma Nelson all of Lafollette, Mark Nelson of Jacksboro; 12 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Wade Walls officiating. Interment will follow in Murrayville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday night at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements. SANTORE, FRANCIS X. - age 72 of Greeneville, passed away March 7, 2004 in Laughlin Memorial Hospital. Mr. Santore was born September 8, 1931 in Long Island City, NY and was a son of the late, Cono and Rose Santore. Mr. Santore was graduated from Tusculum College in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He attended the College of Law at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he received a doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1961. He was a longtime member of the American and Tennessee Bar Associations, a charter member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a former member of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. At the time of his death, Mr. Santore served on the Public Affairs Committee of the University of Tennessee's National Alumni Association. In the late 1970's, he served a term as national treasurer of UT's National Alumni Association, and was a past president of the Greene County Chapter. He was also a charter member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Greeneville. Survived by: his wife, Rita Owens Santore; three children and spouses, Francis X. Jr. and Tuyet Santore of Greenville, Dr. Jonathan and Marcia Santore of Plymouth, NH, and Gabrielle Santore and Dr. Michael Morris of East Falmouth, MA; two step children and spouses Marcus and Wendy McNeal of Paris, TX and Layla and Lonnie Human of Johnson City, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Peter and Thomas Santore of Plymouth, NH, Zachariah Bronwyn and Siobhan Morris of East Falmouth, MA; five step grandchildren, Loan Tran of Oklahoma City, Okla., Quang Tran of Union City, Calif., Lam Tran of Soc Trong, Vietnam, Blake McNeal of Paris, TX and Sebastian Owens of Johnson City; two sisters, brother and sister in law, Catherine Becker of Darien, IL., Lorraine Englert of West Orange, NJ, and Michael and Carmela Santore of Hicksville, NY. Also preceded in death by sister, Concetta Santore. Funeral services Friday March 12, 2004 in the Notre Dame Catholic Church at 2 p.m., with Rev. Jim Harvey and Rev. Joseph Hammond officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 11, from 7-9 p.m. at Jeffers Mortuary in Greeneville. Interment will be private. Active pallbearers: Eric Christiansen, E. Ronald Chestnut, W.E. Jeffers Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements. STEWART, AUDREY M. - age 78, of Oliver Springs, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at the Ft. Sanders Park West Hospital in Knoxville. Mrs. Stewart was born October 18, 1925 in Oliver Springs and was a member of Oliver Springs First Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Tennessee Eastman of Oak Ridge. After leaving Tennessee Eastman, she worked as a teacher's aide at Norwood Elementary School for 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Stewart; parents, Jack & Lettie Brummett Wright; two brothers, Frank & Clarence Wright. Survivors: children,Brenda Grayson & husband, Larry of Knoxville, David Stewart & wife, Ann of Oak Ridge, Teresa Lowery of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Jay Grayson, Amy Grayson, Josh Stewart, Chelsea Lowery; great- grandchildren, Tucker Boswell and Ansley Grayson; sister-in- law, Gloria Lee Cole & husband, J. Mack Cole of Mascot; special cousin who was considered as a brother, Bill Hatmaker of Oak Ridge; a host of extended family, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with funeral service following at 8:00 pm, in the chapel with Rev. Todd Johnson officiating. Interment will be held 11:00 am, Friday, at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Sharp Funeral Home of Oliver Springs in charge of all arrangements. WILLIAMS, VADA LEE - age 90, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center. Devoted pastor wife, mother & grandmother. She was a member of Marble City Baptist Church in Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents, William & Maude Anderson. Survivors: husband of 71 years, Rev. George Williams of Clinton; son, Ronnie & wife Bobbie Williams of Clinton; daughter, Betty & husband Jack Brooks of Clinton; grandson, Mark Williams & fiancée Lindsay Hill of Clinton; sister-in-law, Christie Sowders of Clinton. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff & residents at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Clinton, Tennessee. Friends may call at their convenience on Wednesday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Clinton Second Baptist Church with funeral services following with Rev. Henry Linkenfelter, W.C. Thornton & Rev. Ronald Guthrie & Rev. Mike Thompson officiating. The burial will be 2:00 PM, Friday at Woodhaven Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2200 Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37919.
