Preceded in death by: father and mother, Lewis Belew and Adeline Bowman Belew; brother, Richard Belew; sister, Della Hatfield; nephews, Roger Allen and Ben York; sister-in-law, Anna Jefferies Blue. He is survived by: wife, Jane Belew of Tackett Creek, Tenn., 2 sons, Gary Dennis Belew and wife Janet of Lafollette, Tenn., Robbie Dale Belew and wife Norma Jean of Lafollette, Tenn.; 3 grandsons, Daniel Scott Belew, Travis Lynn Belew, Steven Andrew Belew; brothers, James Belew of Knoxville, Tenn., Bill Belew of Tackett Creek, Tenn., Ben Belew of Tackett creek, Tenn.; sister, Myrtle Queener of Lafollette, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Johnny Jefferies and wife Pam of Lafollette, Tenn.; nephew, Lynn Jefferies of Houston, Texas; niece, Melanie Claiborn of Lafollotte, Tenn.; nieces, Vickie Karen Hatfield of Tackett Creek, Tenn., Lisa Diane Blue of Huntsville, Ala., Debra Ann Loveday of Lafollette, Tenn.; a host of other relatives and many friends. Masonic services conducted 8 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004 at Harp Funeral Home Chapel by the Jellico Lodge #527 F&AM. The body will lie in state at the Church 1 hour before funeral service. Funeral services 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Anthras Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Partin and Walter Buck Kimberlin officiating. Burial in Lot Cemetery. WRIGHT, ROAUL EDWARD - 69, of Oak Ridge died Saturday, February 28, 2004 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Halls. Mr. Wright was born July 2, 1934 in Lake City, TN to Clarence Wright and Zona Loveday Wright. He retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory as an electrical engineer and he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Mr. Wright was a member of Oak Ridge Historical Society, Sertoma Club, Quarter Century Wireless Association, Elks Club, Moose Lodge, Oak Ridge Amateur Radio Club, Morgan County Radio Club and Anderson County Jail Committee. He was also a Ham Radio Operator for 52 years. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by: two brothers, William T. Wright and R.B. Wright; and a sister, Fay Wright Prichard. Survivors include: his wife, Merilyn Barnhill Wright of Oak Ridge; three nephews, Colin Wright of St. Louis, Missouri, Kevin Wright of Chattanooga, TN, and Devon Prichard of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three nieces, Jeanne Prichard of California, Carol Prichard and Donna Prichard both of San Diego, California. Services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2004 in the Chapel of Weatherford Mortuary at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Winters officiating with interment following service at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Military honors provided by East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard. Phil Mehlhorn, James M. McCloud, Colin Wright, Randall Burris, Devon Prichard, and Brian Lester are acting as Pallbearers and William Prichard, Toe Miller, David Rogers, Everette Wright and Kevin Wright are acting as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am.
