>From the Knoxville News Sentinel 30 Mar 2004 DAVIS, SAMUEL CARL, JR. - age 86, of LaFollette, ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| DAVIS, SAMUEL CARL, JR. - age 86, of LaFollette, passed away, Sunday March 28, 2004 at Veterans Hospital, Mountain Home, TN after a courageous battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Dorothy Turner Davis; father and mother, Samuel Carl Davis, Sr. and Beatrice Ridenour Davis of LaFollette; and nephew, Michael York of Morristown. Survived by: daughters, Carla Burno of Houston, TX and Michelle Nelson of Oliver Springs; twin brothers, Andrew Davis of Clinton, TN and Edward Davis of Knoxville; sisters, Betty Lou Green of Oak Ridge, TN and Marjorie York Allsup of White Pine, TN; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet, 9:45 a.m., Thursday, Bakers Forge Cemetery, LaFollette for graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Rev. James Taylor officiating. Military Honors provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
