He was a member of Hillvale Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Preceded in death by father, George Martin & brother, Butch Worthington. Survivors: wife, Diane Martin of Clinton; mother, Estella "Ted" Worthington of Clinton; sons, Dustin, Junior, Robby, Bobby & Tony; 5 grandchildren; brother. Doug Worthington & wife Terri of Clinton; sister, Jane Traylor & husband Roger of Oregon; Mother & father-in-law, Alex & Alverta Turpin of Clinton; sister-in-law, Sarah Stooksbury & husband Duane of Andersonville; brother-in-law, Eddie Turpin of Clinton, Steve Turpin & wife Peggy of Clinton; aunt, Ruth Elliott of Clinton; special friend, Ronnie Carter of Clinton; several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Holley- Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Mark Keith officiating. The interment will be 11:00 AM, Thursday at Bethel Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. SHARP, ELLEN BEATRICE "BEA" age 85, of Jacksboro, died Monday evening, April 5, 2004. She was a beloved wife and mother whose death is a great loss to all lives she touched. She was a member of First Baptist Church of LaFollette for many years. She and her husband were owners of Sharp's Motel and Restaurant. She was also a substitute teacher, whom the students recognized as "Aunt Bea". She is preceded in death by: husband, Everett M. Sharp; parents, Robert and Dettie Monday; brother, Wade Monday; and son-in- law, Tony Shewmaker. She is survived by: daughters, Everice Shewmaker of Harrodsburg, KY., Elda Kate and husband Jimmy Pierce of LaFollette; three grandchildren, Adam and wife Courtney of Nashville, Holly Pierce of LaFollette and Blake Shewmaker of Harrodsburg, KY; sisters-in-law, Betty Monday Workman of Oneida, Novella Sharp Heatherly of Knoxville, Ruby Sharp of Oak Ridge; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday night, April 8, from 6:00-8:00 at the First Baptist Church of LaFollette with services to follow. The Reverend Bob Brown officiating. Graveside service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery.
