Do you know if these were published by, say, a Campbell County Historical Society or some such? I have a few books from the Scott County Historical Society and would love to own some from Campbell County, as most of my TRAMMELL family lived on both sides of the county line. What can you tell me about availability of those books on marriages, deaths, cemeteries, and so on? Thank you. Nancy Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Deb, I can remember my Grandma Pearl saying that his lover was Aunt Susan, now which Aunt Susan but you probably have your records more straight than I. Grandma Pearl also said that sometime during the end of Mary Jane's life, I don't know whether she worried or was slipping but she put washing powders in the beans that were cooking, of course if my nerves are bad and I am thinking on something really strong that is worrying me, I could pull that one too. Grandma Pearl said that one of the brothers and I believe it was Hooper being that you mentioned the pneumonia that one day he was coughing and up came a sort of a toy type object that he apparently swallowed and after he coughed that up he got better. She also said that they were going through our Grandfather James Frank's trunk and that there was a paper from the hospital stating that an operation could or would have helped Hooper, but James Frank hid it and no one ever knew that there was a possible hope that he would have gotten better. I haven't seen a ghost at the Macedonia, but I sure get an eerie feeling around there. About dusk one day, now this is in FL, I was on my way home from work and I saw a woman in a beige trench coat and she had white pants and white sneakers which looked to be a nurse, so I put on my breaks, I never saw her head. Then I noticed that I ran through it, there had been a wreck which she was in and she was a nurse, she had gotten hit by a train, I guess that her spirit was wondering, I hear when they are taken so fast sometimes their spirit is earth bound. Then nearly the same thing happened, the kids were about 8 and 5, we had gone into town to get something to eat, it wa dusk once again and setting in dark really fast, the kids were arguing in the back, I saw a car coming toward me, and then I saw a boy with Khaki pants on and he had tennis shoes on, I put on the breaks again, he went through the end of the car that was coming at me and I thought he was going to walk out in front of my car..that is why I threw on the breaks, well the kids got kinda scared. The next day at that spot there was a cross on the telephone poll, a young man had gotten hit on his moped and was killed. His shirt looked to be yellow but they come with a fog or a mist around them, and once you realize it, it snaps you out of it. It seems that if you want to see something it won't happen. It is when your mind is far away, it sort of catches you by surprise. Thank you for the info on Howard Hooper. Charlsie FL
