    2. Have you tried the SSDI ? If you run his name, it will give you his SSN as well as where the # was issued and the last place of residence. You could also probably call the bank office and see if they have a plaque with the last year that he was there. Many places keep pictures of their former executives and the years that they were there. It may not be the year that he died, but it could give you a general idea. Laura

    2. I am trying to locate birth records (and anything else I might find) for my grandfather and any of his siblings. I have sent a request to the Tennessee State Library and Archives but have had no response as of yet. If anyone could send me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I do know they spent time in Jellico, TN before moving to West Virginia about 1920.     3. Hello All: Ken Lay's ancestor Thomas Lay lived in Campbell County TN. He went to MO, I believe it was after the Civil War I am not sure. I can't name Ken's direct line but I am sure that his father was born and lived his live in and around MO. Thomas was the son of John M. Lay who is buried beside the Elk Fork Baptist Church in Elk Valley Tennessee. Thomas' first wife died before he left TN. and he married Drusy Adkins. When Thomas died in MO. she returned to Elk Valley and married Rev. Jesse Baird. His first wife Louisa Smith is buried on one side of him and Drusy on the other. Loyal Lay, of Broken Arrow OK. is a first Cousin to Kenneth Lay. Loyal served as President of The Lay Family Genealogical Association from 2000 to 2002.     3. Don't know if you have the facts right on Lay's father. He may have came from Campbell Co. but he came to Mo. He did go to Texas Co. and lived in a small bump in the road called Tyrone. He had a store of some kind there and then after a short time, the family moved to St Louis, Mo. I'm pretty sure this is right because I live in Texas Co. and there was an article in the local paper about Ken Lay's family living here. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church in Huntsville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton Elmore and Gertrude Byrd Keith. Mrs. Martin is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 50 years, E.L. Martin; her son, Terry Martin and wife, Sheila, of Clinton; her daughter, Lidelle Bowling and husband, Rick, of Knoxville; her sister, Louise Bumgardener, of Roseville, Calif.; and by three grandchildren, Brian Martin, Allison Martin and Andrew Bowling. According to his family, Mr. Harness enjoyed his friends and family, especially his grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo "Pete" and Nellie Brown Harness; three brothers, Isaac Harness, Lesley Harness and Robert Harness; and by two sisters, Ollie Mae Harness and Maggie Gibson. Mr. Harness is survived by his son, Greg Harness, his daughter, Kimberlee Waters and husband, Gary, and by his grandson, Tyler Waters, all of Cleveland. Etoy Barnett Goodman Schulte, 97, of Dallas, Ga., died Sunday, July 4, 2004, after a brief illness. Later, widowed and retired from retail jewelry sales, Mrs. Schulte moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., where she met and married Edwin C. Schulte, another longtime Oak Ridge resident. The two former Oak Ridgers returned to Tennessee, where they lived many years until Mr. Schulte's death in 1990. Mrs. Schulte relocated to Dallas, Ga., in 2000 and lived at Kimberly Assisted Living until her death. In addition to her husbands, parents and many siblings, she was preceded in death by her son, Dr. James B. Goodman, who died May 5, 2003.
