Melinda, You didn't give your grandmother's name but in the 1920 census for Anderson County I found three FOUST families living next door to each other. So maybe this will help. In the 1910 census, I found Thomas Foust with his second wife and her name is Annie. So, he must have been married at least three times.... evidently Elizabeth is his third wife. In 1910, he has been married to Annie S. for 27 years so she must be the mother of Clara, Jane, and David. I didn't find Thomas in the 1930 nor the 1900 Anderson County census. 1920 Anderson County, TN census, 3rd Dist., 16 Jan 1920. Ron on the list has been kind enough to send me what information he has on my BEETS line back to 1740, this is mainly on parents, I would still like to get the aunts and uncles. I know this is going to take me a long time to complete, but I find it so interesting. I hope I can get it done. :-) For those who are trying to help me locate my Foust Great Grandparents her is more information that I found out. My aunt says that Thomas FOUST could have been my grandmothers father, my uncle says that Freeman FOUST could have been my grandmother's mother. My aunt says that Eliza CHILDRESS Foust could have been my grandmother's mother. If anyone has any information about these people and doesn't mind sharing I would appricatie it. :-) What realtives I do have living to talk to just doesn't know much about their grandparents or great grandparents. Melinda Have you tried the usgenweb state & county pages yet? Those maybe very helpful--I know the TN county genweb sites are great, they have helped me alot. Also, try to post some names with dates and loacations and you will probably get a ton of help. People on the lists have been more than generous when it comes to helping others. I don't have an ancestry.com account but I do have access to Heritagequest if you can give me some names, dates, & locations I can do some digging for you. Christine
Does anyone on this list have access to obituaries in Campbell Co. (I believe specifically Lafollette Press) from 1976 and Oct. 10th 1987). I am looking for an obituary for a Ruth (Teeny) Gothard in 1976, but unfortunately I do not have a specific date. She apparently committed suicide this year. I understand there may be some newspaper articles also, as her husband William (Bill) Gothard may have been suspected of murder, but was eventually cleared. He is the obituary I am looking for Oct. 10th 1987. Perhaps if someone could give me the exact date of death I could find the newspaper article(s) from this period. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Char
