Hi Joan, Sorry to hear your son who lives in Fla sustained damage to his home from Charlie and Frances. As for relationship to Anderson County,Tenn. I belive we are. At least to the ones on the 1830 and 1840 Censuses- Carrolls and Langley who was a Carroll. They are a stumbling block for some parts. I am also trying to track down Tempy Carroll who is Julian Carroll Langley's mother. Wm, Jessee ,and John, and Morton Carroll are brothers Julian's husband is Joseph Langley. I believe Wm is their oldest brother. It is believed that Thomas was Tempy's husband but all is not clear. Thanks for the note and we will pray that your son and his family are safe and able to do what is best. Hi Everyone: I live in Ohio also but have a son who lives in Fla. His house sustained damage from Charlie and Frances. He now has decided to sell out and move back here. They were huddled in the middle room of their home with a mattress over them and listened to their home being blow away. Roof, screened porch and some other damage. But at least they were alive. Now with this one coming at them I am not sure whether his house can hold out to another one. I am really worried about them and what the heck is the reason for all these Hurrican's? Now to some genealogy. James, are you related to the Carroll's of Anderson Co., Tn.? Beautiful Wedding Solemnized Miss Fern L. Kopp, of Indiana and R.M. Dollar United in Marriage June 19th. One of the prettiest events of the season and one which cause much favored comment was the beautiful church wedding of Miss Fern L. Kopp and Mr. R. Malcolm Dollar which was solemnized at half after eight o'clock on Sunday evening June 19th at Heidelberg Church, Corydon, Ind. Rev. J.G. Moore pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Relatives and intimate friends were in attendance for the vows and reception which followed. The church was beautiful in its decoration of honeysuckles and potted plants and the alter which was made into a bank of flowers was a rare scene of beauty. Before the ceremony two violin selections "Berceuse" by Gounod and "Perfect Day" were beautifully rendered by Miss Margaret Schump, of Ashland, Ky., friend of the bride. Following this Miss Mary Dollar of Marion, Ky., sister of the groom sweetly sang "Oh Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly." Promptly at the appointed hour at the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, the ushers entered the front vestibule of the main isle, followed by Miss Clarice Reas of Corydon, Ind., cousin of the bride, who served as bridesmaid and was charmingly attired in green organdie, carrying an armful of Columbia roses. She was accompanied by Mr. Edward Booker of Louisville, Ky., who performed the duties of best man. Preceding the wedding couple was a little Miss Evelyn Hottle of Corydon, cousin of the bride who acted as ring bearer. The bride entering upon the arm of the groom was charming in beautiful gown of white corded taffeta. Her veil of tulle was becomingly caught to her dark hair with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white Bouvardia and Ophelia roses. The wedding party left the church by Mendelssohn's wedding march played by Miss Dollar. The bride, daughter of the late Mr. Chas. Kopp of Corydon, has visited frequently in Marion, Ky., and has many friends there. The groom who formerly resided there has a host of friends who wish them much happiness and success. Mr. and Mrs. Dollar after spending a few days with the grooms' parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.U. Dollar of Marion, Ky., will leave for their future home in LaFollette, Tenn., where the groom is in business.
