Morning List: I've been going over my notes on my Wrights and came across some new information that leads me absolutely nowhere (naturally) and is turning into a frustrating mystery about a Thomas M. Wright and I am hoping someone on the list might have a clue. On page 288 "Deed of Conveyance" for the year 1871 was found this mention: "Jas & David Wright to Thomas Gray: A deed of conveyance fro James Wright and David Wright to Thomas W. Gray for for these undivided interest in the Thomas Wright lands was this day presented for probate and the excution thereof was proven by J. W. Agree and W. *looks like Jackson* the subscribing witnesses thereto admitted to record and certified for *looks like* administration. John Jones, Clerk." **it should be noted here shortly after the sale--abt. 1872-1873-- that David Wright took Catherine Wright (widow of Jas Wright) and John Jones to court although the case wasn't described fully in the pages. So Dumb Question number one is since this occurred in 1871 what exactly does it mean????? Could Thomas have died, the two sons were given ownership of the land and then Catherine obviously sold it in 1871. Where could I find such a record?????** Listed in the transcribed record of Minutes, Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Vol.4 Date 1839 - 1846 page 82 (am not sure of the date--I estimated 1841): "Ordered by the Court that Dennis Trammel be appointed overseer of a third-class road leading up Gellico from the State Line to the lower end of Robert Ross' field in place of Wm. King and that he have Wm. Ryan, **Thos. M. Right**, and Jacob Tramel and others living in said bounds to work under him on said road." page 184 (July 1842) "Ordered by the court that Canada Blankenship be appointed overseer of a third class road leading up Gellico from the State Line to the lower end of Robt. Ross' field in place of Dennis Trammel and that he have Wm. Ryan, **Thomas M. Right** and Jacob Tramel and others living in said bounds to work under him on said road and that he keep the same in repair." **Now these two records also pointed me to the location where Pharoah Madison Wright and wife Nancy Blankenship had lived in 1840. I checked the 1840 census and there is no Thomas Right/Wright listed however a Madison (believed to be Pharoah) and Reason Right are listed. ** This is pretty much all the info I have. Can anyone help?? Bonnie ___________________________________________________ A Wright Researcher : Primarily Campbell County, Tennessee
