Been a while since I posted..so here goes.. I am researching the following names and locations: Barns-Roane Co Buchanan-Polk Co Howell- Hamilton, McMinn, Polk, & Roane Co Womack- Bradley, Hamilton, McMinn, & Polk Co Sarah Barns married Pleasant Howell in 1845, Roane Co., Tn. The family is listed on the 1850 & 1860 Roane Co Census, but Sarah & children are in Polk Co by 1870, without Pleasant. Rumor says he died in Civil War, but I have no proof of that. I have been unable to find anything on him after 1860, but there were several other children born to Sarah, so I assume he was alive until at least 1865. Pleasant's mother was Lavinia/Vina/ Viney Howell. Maiden name may have also been Howell. Who are her parents, who is the father to Pleasant?? Who are Sarah Barns' parents?Any help on this line would be appreciated. I am willing to share the information I have. Amanda J Howell, daughter of Pleasant & Sarah, married Issac Buchanan before 1870. They are listed on the 1880 Polk County, TN census..Where did they go from there? One of Amanda's brother's, Pleasant B Howell ended up in Eufala, Ok... Possibly Amanda did too, but I haven't found her yet. I have lots of Womack info, especially from 1797 to the present, which I am glad to share. The Womack line married into the Howell line mentioned above.
