    3. Hi Roberta, If you get an answer to your question please let me know. My ancestor Wilson Thomas was in the 1840 Census of Bradley Co. I am not sure when he got there but he was married with two little children in the 1840 census. I know he came to Bradley from Monroe Co., TN. And I don't think he was married in Monroe, but in Bradley to Tresa Wetson, so he must have been there at least by 1838. I read somewhere that in 1836 there was some sort of organization to build a fort and remove the Indians? Maybe someone on the Bradley Co. list can give us some history on this Removal of the Indians in 1836. I am wondering if this is why my Wilson went to Bradley to play a part in this, and assume he was an early settler at this time? Does anyone have any information on these early years of 1836 in Bradley? Thanks so much, Barb (Thomas) Fitzmaurice - Michigan BLFITZMA@prodigy.net -----Original Message----- From: KSum555@aol.com <KSum555@aol.com> To: TNBRADLE-L@rootsweb.com <TNBRADLE-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, August 06, 1998 8:08 PM Subject: [TNBRADLE-L] Questions Hi Everyone, Today I tried to order an 1830 census for Bradley county and was told there wasn't one because it was Indian Lands. Can anyone tell me how the population of Bradley county was counted in 1830? Was there a tax list for the area? any help would be appreciated. Am trying to see if my ggggrandparents had arrived in Bradley county by 1830. Thank you, Roberta.
