Sherry, You can order records from the National Archives and Records Administration Here is the addy to Military Service and Pension Records Page. http://www.nara.gov/research/ordering/milordr.html Form 80 is what you need for the War of 1812. This form is for service generally before WWI. Form 180 is for service in WWI and later. You can request forms from the NARA at: inquire@nara.gov Just give them your name and snail mail address and tell them how many copies of Form 80 you need. There is no charge for these forms and you will receive them in the mail in a just a few days. You fill out the forms and send them in. If they find the files you requested they will notify you and then you pay them (usually $10). There is no charge if they find no record or file. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sherry Davis-Ellis <bluefairies@uswest.net> To: <TNBLOUNT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 09, 1999 12:09 AM Subject: [TNBlount] Re: TNBLOUNT-D Digest V99 #191 > > > Subject: [TNBlount] Bevin Haddox or Haddock > > Date: Mon, 08 Nov 1999 11:55:19 -0700 > > From: Sherry Davis-Ellis <bluefairies@uswest.net> > > To: TNBLOUNT-L@rootsweb.com > > > > Hi, I was wondering if someone knows where Fort Montgomery > > is?
