WEBB and have known him for thirty years. The first time I met him soon after his discharge from the service at his home within a half mile of where I lived he was suffering with bleeding piles. I worked with him at different times and have seen him often when he was at stoole bleeding from the piles, & he showed me his piles when they were bleeding. I was suffering with the piles at the same time and we talked about it and that is how he came to show me how he was afflicted and we were each being treated at same time for piles by DOCTOR THOMAS CALVIN (COLVIN?). He worked some at diffrent times but he was not able to do any manual labor since the time of his discharge on account of his disease of piles to do himself justice and he ought not to attempt to do manual labor."
