    2. GENERAL AFFIDAVIT State of Tennessee, County of Blount, ss: In the matter of the application for pension of LINCH WEBB. ON THIS 7th day of December A. D. 1888 personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace MERAH E. YEAROUT aged 42 years, a resident of Tuckaleechee in the County of Blount and State of Tennessee, well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows: "that he have bin well and personly acuainted with Claimant for 40 years or all my life. He was a stout able Bodyed man up to his Enlistment into the war as far as I knowed. I have worked with him & for him Before the war and since the war. Before the war he could doo as much work as any body of hi size. After the war or now I don't think he can do more than one fourth as much work as he could Before the war. At the (two unclear words) fight or about that time he taken Piles, he says he has had them ever since. I have lived near him Since I was a Boy except 4 years while he was in Texas. I have Seen him with the Piles at Several diferent times. I was in the Ridgment with him and the Same company with him in the war. Have known him when he couldn't go on acct of Piles. I further declare that I have no interest in said case and am not concerned in its prosecution." MERAH E. YEAROUT (Signature of Affiant.) STATE OF Tennessee COUNTY OF Blount ss: Sworn to and subscribed before me this day by the above name affiant, and I certify that I read said affidavit to said affiant, including the words erased, and the words aded and acquainted him with its contents before he executed the same. I further certify that I am in nowise interested in said case, nor am I concerned in its prosecution; and that said affiant is personally known to me and that he is a credible person. J. N.
