    3. Charlotte, Abrams Creek is the stream that runs west through Cades Cove and empties into the Little Tennessee River about a mile east of Chilhowee. You can find this feature on the Calderwood USGS 7.5' map or on a Smoky Mountain National Park trail map. This is not near Rockford. My ancestors settled not too far from Rockford. I understand there was a mill on Little River near Rockford, that brought electricity to the area much earlier than it would have been otherwise.
