    2. GENERAL AFFIDAVIT For the testimony of EMPLOYERS or NEAR NEIGHBORS of soldier, (other than relative) who have known him before his enlistment, or since his discharge and return from the army. State of Tennessee, County of Sevier, SS. In the matter of the application of pension of LINCH WEBB Pvt Co B 2ond Tenn Cav Vol. ON THIS 6" day of August A. D. 1888; personally appeared before me, a Clerk County Court in and for the aforesaid County, duly authorized to administer oaths W. W. JONES aged 43 years, a resident of Allensville in the County of Sevier and State of Tenn whose Post Office address is Allensville Sevier Co. Tenn and well known to me to be respectable and entitled to credit, and who being duly sworn, declare in relation to the aforesaid case as follows: That he has been well and personally acquainted with LINCH WEBB for 9 years and that "I worked for the applicant and was well acquainted with him liveing on his land for about 3 or 4 years of the time. He was frequntly down with Piles for weekes at a time that he could not do any thing I have frequently seen a half pint or more of Blood where he had to attend to the call of nature when worken on his Farm He would frequently call my attention to the Same I was vary intimate with Clamant all the time I was aquainted with him he was frequently confined to his house he was totally disabled during a large portion the time to do any manuel labor at all they would last Seven or eight days at a time he would then get some better and try to labor some. I further declare that I have no interest in said case and am not concerned in its prosection of the Same." W. JONES (Signature of Affiant) STATE OF Tennessee, COUNTY OF Sevier, ss: Sworn to and subscribed before me this day by the above-named affiant, and I certify that I read said affidavit to said affiant, and acquainted him with its contents before he executed the same. I further certify that I am in nowise interested in said case, nor am I concerned in its prosecution; and that said affiant is personally known to me and that he is a credible person. R. A.
