GENERAL AFFIDAVIT State of Tennessee, County of Blount, ss: In the matter of pension claim of SARAH WEBB widow of LINCH WEBB of Co B 2d Regiment Tenn Cav Vols. ON THIS 8th day of May, A. D. 1894, personally appeared before me a Clerk of a Count of record, in and for the aforesaid County, duly authorized to administer oaths HENRY WEBB aged 58 years, a resident in the County of Blount, and State of Tennessee, whose Post-Office address is Tuckaleechee Tennessee well known to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows: "I have known the Soldier and the Claimant ever since I can remember, he was my half brother, and I know that Claimant & her husband the soldier lived together and were recognized by the community during all the years since I can first remember as husband and wife, and raised a family of children and the fact of their being lawfully married was never questioned. This affidavit was all written in my presence and only from my oral statements here made in the Court house in Maryville Tenn on the 8th day of May, 1894 made to W. C. CHUMLEA & reduced to writing by him, and in making the same, I did not use and was not aided or prompted thereto by any written or printed statement or recital prepared or dictated by any other person. I further declare that I have no interest in said case and am not concerned in its prosecution."
