In the records of my Blount Co. ancestors I found a reference to "Abrams Creek in the Chilhowee Valley." Can someone tell me where this is? Is it near Rockford? Apparently there was a cotton mill in that area (or village) owned by an Englishman, whose name is unknown to me. My ancestor, John Barker, migrated from England around 1851 with this man and worked as a turner making bobbins in the cotton mill. If anyone has any information about the cotton mill or the Englishman who owned it, I would enjoy hearing about that, too. Charlotte
