    3. Greetings, I am doing research on the ancestors and descendants of BRADY MAYFIELD who appears in the 1810 Pendleton District Census in SC and in the 1830 Knox Co., TN census--seemingly the only Mayfield family in the early 1822-1860 (or thereabouts) period of Knox Co. and Blount Co. Specific to Blount Co., I am looking for the following individuals/families who I believe were likely a part of Brady's family. --(A.) JAMES MAYFIELD [b: abt 1822]--m: MARY HOOD on 11 Feb 1847 in Blount Co. TN which is adjacent to Knox Co. James and Mary appear in the 1850 Blount Co. census [both 28 b: TN] and in the 1860 Blount Co. census [both 38]. In the 1860 census a SARAH MAYFIELD age 17 is living with them. Could this James be BRADY's son who is listed in the census as born:1820-1825?? --(B.) In 1840 NANCY MAYFIELD appears in the census for Blount Co., TN--possibly as the head of a household, I'm not sure, I'm only working from an index. Could she be the widow of Brady Mayfield? --(C.) NANCY MAYFIELD--m: JAMES POE on 25 Mar 1841 in Blount Co., TN. Is this another missing child of the Brady Mayfield family? Note: James [36] and Nancy [35] appear in 1850 Knox. Co., TN census with children: Martha Poe [7], Mary Poe [6], Sophronia Poe [1]. Nancy's age seems to fit that of the missing female child [1810-1815] in the census of Brady's family. Also Note: Mahala Mayfield's son WILLIAM C. PRICE married MARTHA A. POE in 1863!! [First cousins??] The following attempt to reconstruct BRADY MAYFIELD's family is found, along with much other info on this family, on my genealogical web site, whose URL is below, for any who care to consult it. I appreciate all help. Thank you. =============== BRADY MAYFIELD'S CHILDREN According to the 1810 Pendleton Dist.,SC & 1830 Knox Co., TN censuses: SC/1 male b: 1795-1800 [Horman ?] SC/1 female b: 1800-1810 [Minerva?--b: 1805, m: 1824, in OH by 1827] SC/1 female b: 1800-1810 [Malinda?--m: 1825, deceased by 1837?] SC/1 female b: 1800-1810 [Maria?--b: abt 1809, m: 1825] SC/1 female b: 1800-1810 [?--still in 1830 household] TN/1 female b: 1810-1815 [?--same as unknown one above, b: abt 1810?] TN/1 female b: 1810-1815 [Mahala?--b: 1813/1814, m: 1834] TN/1 female b: 1815-1820 [Mathursa?--m: 1851] [??late marriage, at age 31-36] TN/1 male b: 1820-1825 [?] TN/1 male b: 1825-1830 [William Carson ?] In 1830 Brady would have been 50-60 years old, and his wife abt 46-50, assuming Brady's wife is the same individual in both censuses. ================ Any help is appreciated.
