Several months ago it was announced in the Rootsweb Newsletter that PBS was doing another ancestor series and there was a call for story submissions. Later, a companion book to the series was announced and another call for story submissions to include in the book. I was submitted a story and was fortunate that it was selected for the book. The author who compiled the stories has set up a web page and I was honored that my story was chosen as the first Feature Story of the Month, not because it was any better than any of the other wonderful stories in the book, but because it fit well with the theme of the web page--"multi-purpose genealogical site designed to reunite stray ancestral photos (and other memorabilia) with their families of origin." My story is about my Uncle Luke Quiett who was born, lived and died in Blount County and a wonderful happenstance that was brought about by his picture collection.
