Hi, Does anyone know how I would find out what part of Blount County was Civil District 7 on the 1850 Federal Census? I am planning a trip to Blount County next month, and I would like to try to locate my ancestor's (Michael Goodlink) land. I know they were located in Civil District 7 from the census records, and I know they were on a branch of Pistol Creek adjacent to Joseph Findly, William Simins and Thomas Hunter. This land was sold to Michael Goodlink by Banner Shields of McMinn County on October 13, 1820. Any help would be appreciated. Also any recommendations for research would be greatly appreciated.
