Does anyone in Blount county know anything about Joshua Parsons married to Sarah who was the owner of Parsons Turnpike in Blount County? He died in 1845 but a copy of his will must have been destroyed by fire as it does not exist on microfilm. There is reference he owned 25,000 acres of land called Smokey Mountain. I believe that Robert Parsons was a son but would love to know any other siblings to Robert. Also, how did Joshua get so much land? Any help from Blount county experts appreciated. John Owen

Source: The History of the Chilhowee Baptist Association by John O. Hood Miller's Cove Baptist Church organized in 1810. It began it's records in 1810 and has kept them until the present. The first meeting place was a log building used jointly by Methodists, Primitive Baptists and Missionary Baptists. The church bought land and erected a building in 1905. This church burned in 1949. The present structure was built in 1949 in the same location as the one destoryed by fire. Pastors from 1810-1833 are not listed in the records. Pastors are listed from 1833-1847, there is a gap in the list from 1847-1876. However it is known that George SNIDER was pastor in 1817 and James TAYLOR was licensed to exhort in 1813. Hi all, I am searching for Edna Yearout b. March 5, 1845 who had 6 or 7 children by William Stinnett. Both were born in Blount County, TN I was told that they never married, immaterial, I just want 'facts'. Children by William Stinnett and edna Yearout were Bob b. 1890 (married Ethel Bolden) , Harriet b. 1894(married Arthur Romine), Alice b. 1880 (married John Willix). Burial record for Alice list the parents as William and edna Lawson Stinnett. Burial records for Bob and Harriet list the parents as William and edna Yearout Stinnett. !/2 siblings don't know which they belonged to were Lily b. 1887 (married Arthur Romine) Calvin, Lemuel and William, no other info except that Calvin lived in Chattanooga and possibly had a record, and William lived on the TN/VA border and he possibly had a record also. I know now some of 'why' this family line was kept from us. There are 4 of us cousins, looking for true facts, and one elderly lady, daughter of Alice, who wants us to find the children of Cal and Will. I need facts or even rumors will be taken in consideration, as thus far all we have is rumors. Any info will be appreciated. Please, if you know of either of these families, PLEASE REPLY.
